Research Idea
Develop innovative methods for scientific computing by synthesising physical laws and machine learning.
AstroAI-Lab is a research group led by Dr. Tobias Buck that combines computational astrophysics and machine learning to study the formation and evolution of galaxies. AstroAI-Lab is jointly located at the interdisciplinary center for scientific computing (IWR) and the institute for theoretical astrophysics of the university Heidelberg (ITA). Our research is funded by the Carl-Zeiss-foundation within their Nexus program.
